Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis
Mount Pisgah Emmaus Community
Strengthening the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders.
The Mount Pisgah Emmaus Community exists to support and encourage participants in offering two faith-deepening experiences, Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis. "Walk to Emmaus" and "Chrysalis" are spiritual renewal retreats. "Chrysalis" is the name chosen for the youth and young adult version of its parent movement The Walk to Emmaus, because it symbolizes the spiritual growth and change that is essential between adolescence and adulthood.
Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis alumni and the Emmaus Community sponsor new participants, hosts gatherings for fellowship, coordinate reunion groups, and provide support to upcoming Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis retreat weekends. All intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders, approaching seriously the model of Christ's servant-hood and encourages Christ's disciples to act in ways appropriate to being "a servant of all."
To participate in an Emmaus Walk or Chrysalis Weekend, each participant must have a sponsor who has already attended Emmaus or Chrysalis. If you know of someone who has been to Emmaus or Chrysalis, ask them to share a little about his or her experience. They can help you decide whether or not you would find an Emmaus experience beneficial to you. If you don’t know of an alumni sponsor you can contact our representative to help you find a sponsor.
Take the next step in your faith journey, whether it is your first—or one of many, and grow as a disciple of Christ.
