Let me reaffirm that your leadership and companionship have been sources of great encouragement. The personal and institutional support you have given us has been uplifting for me personally and has opened up new venues of optimism for Communitàs UMC, our 18-week old Luso-Brazilian Ministry. We now have nine families + a mom and her kid + some singles coming, on weekly basis, to our “Crer & Pensar” (Believing & Thinking), and between 15 and 17 youth involved with Communitàs’ ARCA, coordinated by my daughter, Talitha Wesley. We do know, however, that this growth needs to stabilize for a while, so that we can strengthen the work and our Wesleyan heritage basis before we go on experiencing a more sustainable and healthy growth. Including all activities (on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays), we are now involving from 40 to 45 people every week. On December 30 we had our 18th weekly meeting, and the energy and enthusiasm of the group is fantastic. May you have a blessed 2012! With deep appreciation, Wesley (& Vanice)
