Good morning! I just wanted to share with you what I experienced at Hillside Elementary during the dessert day that Mount Pisgah ... (and that would be YOU!) sponsored. Volunteers carried your desserts and cards down the hallways of the school, delivering food for both the body and the soul. And these teachers and staff were HUNGRY!! and SO appreciative!!
One of the teachers stopped by a dessert cart as we were wrapping up and said with tears in her eyes how touched she was that Mount Pisgah supplied all these desserts and hand-written notes to each teacher. She said that when she read her note, she just cried. There was some unbelief in her tone, like ... "why would they do this?"
I received an email from another teacher this morning. Here is an excerpt of her message:
"I just want you to know that I loved the note that I received today! It really meant a lot to know that someone I don't even know has lifted up my name and my classroom in prayer. It's really hard to describe how good that feels."
And whoever made the "symphony brownies" ... there is a HIGH demand for your recipe, if you don't mind. :)
I just can't thank you enough for "loving your neighbor as yourself" in this tangible way! Your prayers and desserts meant MORE THAN YOU KNOW ... and are planting seeds and paving the way for God to work in the lives of our neighbors in POWERFUL ways!
"Our prayers lay the track down on which God's power can come. Like a mighty locomotive His power is irresistible but it cannot reach us without rails." --Watchman Nee
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for laying down the track from Mount Pisgah to our neighbors at Hillside Elementary! We are SO excited about the possibilities to continue showing God's love to them ... and we'll stay in touch with future opportunities as they arise.
God bless you BIG!
