We live in a pivotal period of human history, when many of our human institutions (corporations, banks, housing markets. Wall Street, government, and others) have ventured beyond reasonable lines of trust and integrity. People are shaken and upset.

These are times that test men’s souls. It is a time that may come along only once every other generation or so, when we must face the deeper questions of the soul... Who am I?  Why am I here?  What do I really believe in? It boils down to a matter of trust.  Will we focus on faith or fear?  Will we trust in human institutions or God’s promises?

For followers of Jesus Christ this is a time of enormous opportunity!  Light shines brightest when it is the darkest.  Because our faith is in God, we can have hope instead of fear; faith in the midst of despair; compassion in a world of apathy; and, joyful generosity knowing that our God always has and always will provide for our needs abundantly in every circumstance.

The Annual Operating Budget for the ministry year July 2009 – June 2010 funds the missions and ministries of Mount Pisgah for the coming year….a worthy investment in itself.  However, the motivation for Godly stewardship, tithing, and offerings beyond the tithe run much deeper than that. 

It’s about seeking God’s Kingdom first in our lives.
It’s about giving back to God out of the first fruits of what He has provided to us.
It’s about breaking the shackles of materialism that enslave us.
It’s about choosing to live by faith over fear.
It’s about growing to become generous like our heavenly Father.
It’s about believing Jesus when He says it is more blessed to give than to receive.
It’s about taking an intentional step toward becoming an authentic disciple of Christ.
It’s about trusting God with our security issues.
